Loxation
Safety Standards
To ensure the safety of our users, Loxation adheres to the following standards:
- Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is used for communication with other users. When another user messages you, you should visually verify them because they are in your immediate area. The user interface will allow you to report, block, or accept their message.
- All messages are encrypted end-to-end. This means that only you and the person you are communicating with can read the messages. Loxation does not have access to your messages. Consequently if another sends you an inappropriate message of any kind, Loxation is not able to independtly verify it but you can report and block this user.
- You may exclude all reported users from contacting you, or set a filter to a certain number of reports. If a user exceeds this number, they will be blocked from contacting you.
- Users can be blocked by you at any time. Once blocked, they will not be able to send you messages or see your location.
- Location data is shared only with users you have accepted. You can control who sees your location at any time.
- You may choose not to share your location with anyone. In this case, you will not be able to see the location of other users.
- All location data is stored transiently and is not shared with third parties without your
